The founding idea of the Cosmos Studio is that it should be as easy as possible to do a great design in a very complex platform. The Cosmos Studio fully support MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) throughout the process but it's also possible to work in a more traditionally way with windows and fields.

It gives a lot of support to the different roles along the way with guidelines, checklists, AI driven suggestions, visualization, document generation etc. It also offers a direct connection to the Pulsar Platform to be able to do:

Cosmos Studio Workflow – Full

The diagram below shows the full workflow that may be used for a full automotive platform that will go into production. It handles everything from software design to deployment packages with binaries and manifests. With this setup the manifests and IDL files are auto-generated based on the information in the design model in Cosmos Studio.

Cosmos Studio Workflow – Minimal

The diagram shows a minimal version of the workflow that may be used during rapid development, only using files, scripts, code generators and build tools without the GUI. With this setup the manifests and IDL files needs to be created/modified manually and version controlled in e.g. Git
